To create a boutique service that sets the benchmark for centre-based, short-term accommodation. We aim to give children and their families a professional service that supports greater outcomes for everyone.

The purpose of Professional Care Services is to provide a service that is built on the needs of the individuals and their families. We strive to provide opportunities for our clients to become the best version of themselves.

Professional Care Services acknowledges the rights of people with a disability to:

  • access quality accommodation outside of the family home

  • reliable and equitable access to short term accommodation (STA) services

  • partake in community access opportunities that allow the clients to be active members of their community and engage in activities of interest

  • create meaningful relationships with peers and staff

  • make choices around their STA service

  • be treated with dignity and respect

  • be afforded privacy and confidentiality; and

  • be valued as an individual regardless of race, gender and socioeconomic status.

Professional Care Services also recognises:

  • the importance of providing a high-quality services to both the individual and their families

  • the importance of open communication and collaboration between all agencies when providing services to an individual

  • the importance of a person’s right to self-determination balanced with our duty of care to the individuals

Professional Care Services has been established with the purpose to provide accessible support to children, adolescents and families. We are committed to being culturally sensitive, flexible, client and family-centred and flexible in our approach to supporting our clients.

Professional Care Services are committed to ensuring we are a Child Safe Organisation.

This means we will always ensure that:

  • The best interests of children and young people is paramount

  • Child abuse is not tolerated

  • Children’s rights are understood and respected

  • Reporting suspected abuse or harm to a child is expected and not prevented

  • The organisation acts on concerns raised about child safety
